In 2013 I closed my school and moved to San Luis Obispo County with my husband so he could take care of his family property and start his medical practice.   I joined Studios on the Park as their resident mosaic artist and art educator. I taught weekly art classes to children and teens, and mosaic and ceramic workshops. I started to create my own ceramic tiles and I found out there was a diamond ring saw to cut glass. In 2017 I received a scholarship to study ceramics at the Haystack School of Arts and Crafts, I focused on using the Fab Lab to create custom templates for my ceramic tiles. I view my time in California as a long extended art residency program. Both of my husband's parents were ceramic artists. I lived on Kiln House road with a ceramic studio, this allowed my creativity and imagination to flourish.
