Real art. Real materials. Real skills. Art with Anna brings professional fine-art instruction to schools, after-school programs, and community groups - painting, printmaking, sculpture, and kiln-fired ceramics, with all materials provided.
MEET ANNA
Anna Meyrick is a professional mosaic artist and art educator whose teaching career spans more than four decades. She has taught in public and private schools, led Art enrichment programs, served as resident art educator in Paso Robles, California, and taught art classes at schools abroad. Her public studio has been a fixture of the local arts community wherever she has landed.
Her roots in school leadership run deep. She founded and led her own accredited, hands-on art-based school for teens in grades 7 through 12 - a place where the studio was the classroom and making things was the core of the curriculum, not an add-on. She has built and run after-school art programs for Oregon City schools and taught after-school art at multiple schools during her years in California.
Through it all she has been a working artist first: her mosaic commissions hang in homes and public collections, she is a featured artist at the Oregon Country Fair - one of only a handful of artists holding a permanent booth across from the main stage - and she fires her students' ceramic work in her own studio kiln.
PHILOSOPHY
No crafts from a box.
Every Art with Anna class teaches real fine-art skills with real tools and real materials. Students paint, collage, print, sculpt, and work with clay - the same processes working artists use. A little art history and world culture is woven in along the way, so students learn why art matters, not just how to make it.
They make art every single week, and a finished piece goes home with them every time.
Nobody's work gets held back or left behind.
WHAT I OFFER
After-School Art Classes ( grades K-12)
Weekly art classes held at your school, in 6- or 8-week sessions, paid by families per session. Painting, collage, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics - every session includes kiln-fired ceramics: students build with clay in week 3 and glaze their piece in week 6. All materials included in the tuition.

Mosaic Workshops (Teens & Adults)
Mixed-media mosaic workshops on request for groups of five or more: 10 hours of studio time, usually split over a weekend. $250 per person. Create a personal 12" x 12" mosaic from stained glass, images, and found objects - all tools and materials provided. Participants leave with a completed indoor mosaic.

If your school, PTA, or community program wants a real art program without hiring a full-time art teacher, Art with Anna is built for you. Anna customizes each residency to your schedule, your space, and your students - the same real materials, the same finished art every week, the same kiln-fired ceramics, backed by four decades of classroom experience and a track record of building after-school programs from the ground up.
What a host provides: a classroom or art room with tables and access to water. What Anna provides: everything else - materials, kiln firing, curriculum, and forty years of teaching experience.
